Rick Ivanoff's tribute to Jack Sedore...

Jack, you are greatly missed but won't be forgotten. You brought us incredible joy with your wit, your laugh, your gift of songwriting and your great voice and musical talent. I had the pleasure of playing with you for a couple of years in our band "Cheyenne" and we remained friends long after that. I remember how you came into Cosmo Music (where I worked) one day to look at some guitars. We started talking and before long I felt as though I'd known you all my life. You said to me "so, you wanna play?", which was your way of saying "Let's get together and jam to see what happens". Well, what happened was incredible. Before long, with Dave Foster on Bass and Martin Hutchinson on Drums, along with a rotating talent of Steel Guitar players including Al Brisco, Ian Sutherland, Wiz Feinberg and Brock Willenius, we were playing all the top Country music clubs in and around Toronto and from Lindsay to Niagara Falls.

I also had the pleasure of working with you in recording your song "Two Step Texas" which I released to over 500 radio stations worldwide on the Dog Star Music label. Your song was one of the favourites on the CD and got a lot of airplay, especially in Europe. You can listen to Jack's song in Real Audio or download it to your computer in mp3 format.

Below are some pictures of us. Please read the captions for more details.
